在英語教學中，閲讀教學是比較難教的部分，也是極為重要的部分，其目的是培養學生快速準確地理解和獲悉外語語言的能力。在各種英語考試中，也都把閲讀理解當作主要測試項目(大約佔題40%)，這就要求在教學中應該注重培養學生的閲讀理解技能。

英語的五大基本功包括：聽、説、讀、寫。讀包括朗讀與閲讀。閲讀又分為泛讀與精讀。快速瀏覽，瞭解文章大意，找出文章所給信息點為泛讀；在此基礎上掌握重點單詞，短語及句型。能概括文章段落大意及中心思想，能翻譯文章為精讀。教師在平時的教學中，既要注重培養他們的泛讀能力，更應該培養他們的精讀能力，注意兩種能力相結合。國中教學進入八年級以後就出現了較長篇幅的文章、大量生成的詞彙。科技型、説明型、議論型、人物傳記型閲讀文本也日益增多，而國中學生所學知識膚淺，詞彙量小，分析問題也不夠深入。教師在較長文章的課堂教學中也要注意整體性的把握。讓文本閲讀與語言應用緊密結合。目前，英語學習兩級分化比較嚴重，我們農村的英語教學又成了國中英語教學的新問題。學生底子薄、習慣差、這就更要求農村教師在教法和對學生學習的指導上進行探索和研究。以下是我對閲讀教學的一些看法：閲讀前：

1.教師可適當介紹與閲讀內容有關的社會、歷史、人文、自然背景，特別是與我國不同的英美等西方國家的歷史地理和風俗習慣資料；

2.摘要介紹部分有礙於課文理解的生詞。並要求學生在閲讀中如果遇到可能猜得出的生詞一定要去猜測，而不要忙於查詞典；

3.引導學生根據文章標題、插圖和有關問題討論並預測文章內容；

4.最後教師最好提出一兩個能概括全文中心思想的指導性問題，讓學生帶着問題去閲讀。

閲讀時，可分為計時閲讀，快速閲讀和細節閲讀。通過幾個層次的閲讀理解培養學生的能力，強化讀取信息的意識，為鞏固和運用知識打下了基礎。

1.快速閲讀(scan)指定的內容(用眼讀而不是用嘴讀，逐句讀而不是逐字讀);

2.提問好、中、差各層次的學生，問題要圍繞中心思想(mainidea);

3.提出細節性問題，讓學生獲取有關what,where,when,why,who,how等基本事實以及start,process,end總體過程脈絡；

4.細讀：佈置任務，反覆閲讀課文，反覆思考；

5.分小組討論問題答案，然後全班檢查答案。讀完後

1.鼓勵學生用簡略的方式表述自己對文章的見解和領會，而不是複述課文；不要糾正學生的語音、語法錯誤，哪怕比較嚴重；

2.在學生對課文理解的基礎上，檢查學生對生詞的猜測情況，既然是猜，能沾邊達意就行。

3.把語言運用到實際生活中去。圍繞已學課文開展各種形式的口頭交流活動。比如可以複述課文，分角色扮演，討論某個問題，調查一個項目，採訪相關人士、仿寫與課文相關的話題等；也可動筆對課文進行改寫，列提綱、評述等。具體根據學生的具體情況而定。

總之，教學方法多種多樣，目的都是一致的，那就是以學生髮展為本，促進他們的學習習慣和學習能力的提高。
