手機大約在八幾年開始使用，但只是使用在一些大城市中比較富裕的'有錢人家和一些有特別需要的人。到了九幾年手機開始普遍化、大重化、流行化，而不只是侷限於個別的人。青年人、中年人、老年人都可以擁有自己的手機，甚至手機在一些學生中都擁有一定的低位、受到一定的青睞。手機的功能也隨着時間的發展、社會的進步而越來廣泛。一開始只能用於通電話、發短信，漸漸地我們可以用手機聽音樂、玩遊戲。而現在的手機除了那些簡單的功能以外還加入了現代化元素，除了手機可以看電視以外還可以上網、上QQ還可以與別人視頻通話聊天。如此可見手機在人們日常中的地位與需求。

走在大街上，你會看到很多人都在使用手機，有了手機無論遙遠還是很近，無論內地還是海外交流都暢通無阻；有了手機通話變得越來越方便，世界變得越來越小；有了手機你在哪裏別人都可以找到你，與你通話；有了手機你不用坐在家裏等別人的電話，在外面照樣交流。手機讓我們的聯繫更簡單，通話更方便，我們的交流需要也得到了更高標準的滿足。手機上網也實現了很多人的現實需求，手機隨着時代的進步所延伸出來的各種現代化功能給人們帶來了諸多益惠。手機雖然有這麼多的優點但缺點也一定是固然存在的。有的學生過早的使用手機而引發了諸多的弊端。利如：長時間的玩手機中的遊戲會始我們的眼睛因缺乏休息而酸累，甚至這會成為我們視力下降得元兇、長時間的玩手機中的遊戲更有可能使我們忘記了學習，而導致我們的學習下降、手機中的電子書會使我們過早的成熟、不利於我們的身心發展更不利於我們的健康成長。如果這樣手機就不是為我們的生活帶來便利而是對更多人的成長帶來阻力。

我們如何讓手機的弊端轉化為利端呢？我想這就要靠人們的約束力了。如過我們合理的利用手機管理好自己，不做遊戲的奴隸而做手機的主人，我想哪麼手機一定會給我們帶來無窮的福利。
